A broad based community event to profile number of local area businesses and community based services and highlight new, changing or emerging activities of those organizations for the interest and awareness of residents, visitors, businesses, and others. Approximately 50 people attended. There were displays and a mixer and food opening. Main speakers included Kokanee Springs Resort, KL Chamber of Commerce, Wynndel Update, Crawford Bay RV Park, East Shore Ambulance Auxiliary, and East Shore Fire & Rescue. The featured speaker was Grand Forks Mayor Brian Taylor who provided a perspective on economics in the Kootenays. In two “Individual Speak-Up” sections 16 individuals spoke about their business, service, or upcoming event or projects.
