Following consultations with local trail/mountain bike enthusiasts, trail builders from regional cycling clubs, and community business leaders we have found great support in our effort to promote the extensive hiking and biking trail networks here on the Kootenay Lake East Shore. Our objective is to develop the East Shore physical and cultural infrastructure to accommodate the increased interest in mountain bike destination tourism, while ensuring a holistic and sustainable approach to all trail systems and user groups.
